Senior FinOps Manager
About CINC Systems
CINC Systems is the leading provider of accounting and management software for the community association management industry. Our platform supports tens of thousands of associations and millions of homes in a highly reliable, multi-tenant SaaS environment.
As we scale our platform and expand our use of cloud-native and AI-enabled capabilities, disciplined financial stewardship of our technology spend becomes a strategic advantage. The Senior FinOps Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that growth, innovation, and profitability reinforce one another.
About The Role
The Senior FinOps Manager is responsible for establishing and leading a mature FinOps function at CINC. This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, SaaS economics, and financial management, and requires both deep technical understanding and strong financial acumen.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will work directly with Finance, Platform Engineering, Product Engineering, AI, Product Management, and the organization as a whole to continuously improve unit economics, optimize cloud and vendor spend, and embed cost-awareness into how software is designed, built, and operated.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and lead a company-wide FinOps capability spanning AWS infrastructure, SaaS vendors, and AI-related spend
Partner closely with Finance to align cloud and SaaS costs with forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting
Work hands-on with Platform and Engineering teams to identify cost drivers, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities
Define and track unit economics such as cost per tenant, cost per transaction, cost per user, and cost per AI interaction
Build transparent cost allocation and chargeback or showback models aligned to product lines and teams
Drive continuous optimization across compute, storage, data transfer, managed services, and third-party SaaS tools
Support architectural and design decisions with cost modeling and trade-off analysis
Establish governance for cloud and SaaS purchasing, renewals, and usage without slowing delivery
Create dashboards, reporting, and narratives that translate technical spend into business insight
Educate teams on cost-aware design and operational practices, embedding FinOps thinking into daily decision-making
Support AI-native systems by managing model usage costs, rate limits, and cost-performance trade-offs
Qualifications
Experience and Expertise
8+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, technical finance, or related roles
Deep hands-on experience with AWS cost management, including pricing models, reservations, savings plans, and usage optimization
Strong understanding of SaaS business models and unit economics
Experience partnering directly with engineering and platform teams on cost optimization initiatives
Ability to model, forecast, and analyze complex cost structures tied to technical systems
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, event-driven systems, and data-intensive workloads
Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and renewals with a cost-performance mindset
Leadership and Collaboration
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Engineering, Product, and Leadership
Highly structured thinker who can reason clearly about trade-offs and priorities
Excellent communicator capable of translating technical cost drivers into business language
Comfortable influencing without authority and driving adoption of new practices
Hands-on orientation with a bias toward action and measurable outcomes
Mindset and Values
Builder mindset focused on systems, not spreadsheets alone

Learning-first attitude, staying current with cloud pricing models, SaaS trends, and AI cost dynamics
Pragmatic, data-driven, and calm under pressure
Customer-aware, understanding that cost efficiency ultimately enables better pricing and value
What Success Looks Like
Clear visibility into cloud and SaaS costs across product lines and teams
Measurable improvements in unit economics and cost efficiency over time
