# Senior Director of Information Technology Infrastructure

## About the Role
This senior leadership position is responsible for enterprise infrastructure across cloud, on-premise, hybrid, and cloud-adjacent environments. It exists to define strategy, operating standards, and modernization priorities that support reliable, scalable infrastructure services.
The role works closely with Rochester Regional Health IT (RRH IT), executive leaders, security, compliance, legal, and business stakeholders. It also leads managers, architects, engineers, and operations teams responsible for networks, data centers, storage, virtualization, endpoints, Microsoft 365, and identity services.
## Key Responsibilities
– Develop and execute long-term infrastructure roadmaps aligned with organizational priorities, including cloud, cloud-adjacent, and shared-system strategies with RRH IT.
– Lead enterprise infrastructure strategy, governance, standards, and technology selection.
– Guide cloud transformation, modernization, and data center optimization efforts.
– Oversee hybrid infrastructure design and operations across cloud and on-premise environments.
– Direct enterprise networking, telecommunications, data center operations, storage, virtualization, and endpoint infrastructure.
– Manage cloud migration, replication, backup, high availability, and disaster recovery capabilities.
– Set Infrastructure-as-Code standards using Terraform, CloudFormation, and automation frameworks.
– Lead Microsoft 365 and identity platform strategy, administration, governance, and modernization.
– Establish controls for retention, eDiscovery, information protection, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, and third-party integrations.
– Partner with security, legal, compliance, and business teams on secure collaboration, data protection, and vulnerability remediation.
– Manage infrastructure budgets, capital expenditures, vendors, licensing, contracts, and cost optimization.
– Lead infrastructure managers, engineers, architects, and operations teams.
– Set and monitor KPIs, SLAs, operational metrics, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
– Maintain 24×7 operational readiness, business continuity, and resilience for critical services.
– Reduce technical debt and direct platform modernization initiatives.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
– 10 years of experience managing enterprise infrastructure environments.
– 5 years of senior leadership experience directing infrastructure teams.

– Optimize infrastructure spend while maintaining service quality.
