Job Description
The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining an efficient, reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure environment aligned with enterprise technology strategy. This role supports planning, evaluation, architecture design, and configuration of infrastructure solutions to ensure cost effectiveness, compliance with enterprise standards, and alignment with business and technology objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities
Design infrastructure solutions based on project non‑functional requirements, ensuring scalability, availability, security, and performance.
Produce architectural artifacts for governance reviews, including Physical Infrastructure Diagrams and technical documentation.
Lead architecture discussions and present designs for approval in Design Governance forums.
Collaborate with cross‑functional technology partners to validate requirements, integrate feedback, and finalize design specifications.
Ensure all infrastructure designs adhere to enterprise standards, security policies, and compliance frameworks.
Support planning and evaluation efforts to align infrastructure capabilities with business and technology strategies.

Technical Skills
Deep understanding of system design principles, including interpreting and creating system and workflow diagrams.
Strong experience in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architecture.
Proficiency in Visio modeling for architectural diagrams and technical artifacts.
Hands-on experience in multi‑cloud solution design and workload placement strategies.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, including region and zone design considerations.
Good understanding of networking components, such as:
Load Balancers (LTM)
Application Gateway
TLS security concepts
Knowledge of Governance, Audit, and Risk Assessment practices related to infrastructure and cloud environments.

Must‑Have Skills
Ability to follow the TAGAF design process for architecture development and documentation.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate technology solutions against enterprise standards and non‑functional requirements.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to lead architecture discussions and obtain governance approvals.

Desirable Skills
Experience with Cloud Consulting and FinOps, including cost optimization and consumption modeling.
Exposure to Green IT practices within IT Infrastructure Services.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile delivery teams.
Advanced proficiency in Visio for complex infrastructure design modeling.
