# Manager, AI Financial Management

## About the Role
This role is responsible for financial analysis, reporting, and cost monitoring for AI-related spend. It supports transparency, budgeting, and optimization across AI initiatives by tracking cost drivers and producing clear financial insights.
The position works closely with Technology, Finance, and AI teams to validate assumptions, maintain data integrity, and improve the quality of AI cost reporting. Its work helps support disciplined and efficient management of AI investment.
## Key Responsibilities
– Track and analyze AI spend across infrastructure, platforms, models, and data.
– Maintain and improve cost attribution models and reporting frameworks.
– Analyze cost drivers such as compute consumption, model utilization, and workload patterns.
– Support budgeting and forecasting with driver-based analysis, variance insights, and projections.
– Identify cost optimization opportunities and recommend actions.
– Build recurring dashboards, performance metrics, and financial insights for stakeholders.
– Partner with Technology and AI teams to validate operational drivers and financial assumptions.
– Maintain data integrity and consistency across financial reporting; resolve discrepancies and improve data quality.
– Support governance and control processes by applying financial policies and tracking adherence.
– Assist with vendor financial management, including cost tracking, invoice validation, and basic benchmarking.
– Build knowledge of AI/ML cost structures and FinOps practices to strengthen analysis and insight.
– Communicate financial results clearly and escalate key risks or opportunities as needed.
## Required Skills
– University degree in finance, business, or a related field
– 3–6 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or reporting
– Foundational understanding of cloud and/or technology cost drivers
– Strong analytical and Excel/data skills
– Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data accuracy
– Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
– Eagerness to learn and grow in AI FinOps and technology finance

– Experience with financial systems and reporting tools such as Power BI, Apptio, or cloud cost tools

– Track AI-related spend and identify key cost drivers.

– Monitor spend for optimization opportunities, including underutilized resources and inefficient usage patterns.
