## About the Role
This role is focused on improving visibility, control, and governance of cloud spending across AWS, Azure, and GCP. It supports cloud cost monitoring, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and optimization so the business can make better decisions about cloud usage and expenditure.
The position works closely with Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Finance, and Business teams to strengthen cost allocation, tagging, and chargeback/showback practices. It also contributes to executive-level reporting and recommendations that help identify savings opportunities and improve business value from cloud services.
## Key Responsibilities
– Build and maintain cloud cost monitoring and reporting solutions.
– Analyse cloud spend across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
– Develop dashboards and reports to improve cost visibility.
– Identify underutilized or idle resources and recommend optimization actions.
– Automate governance, budgeting, and cost allocation workflows.
– Configure and manage cost alerts, budgets, and forecasting models.
– Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Finance, and Business teams to control cloud expenditure.
– Create scripts and automation for cloud cost processes.
– Monitor resource utilization and recommend rightsizing opportunities.
– Implement tagging standards and cost allocation frameworks.
– Support chargeback/showback models for business units.
– Prepare executive-level cost reports and optimization recommendations.
– Evaluate new cloud services and pricing models to improve business value.

## FinOps Responsibilities
– Monitor and report on cloud spend.
– Improve cost visibility through dashboards and reporting.
– Identify rightsizing, idle resource, and other optimization opportunities.
– Automate budgeting, governance, and cost allocation processes.
– Configure budgets, alerts, and forecasting models.
– Implement tagging and cost allocation frameworks.
– Support chargeback/showback for business units.
– Perform cloud cost trend analysis and financial forecasting.
– Ensure alignment with FinOps policies and governance standards.
– Prepare executive cost reporting and optimization recommendations.
– Assess cloud services and pricing models for business value.
## Benefits
– Salary range: **CA$100,000–CA$120,000 per year**
