## About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Performance Analyst / Cost Engineer for a partner company based in the Bouches-du-Rhône area, within the Aerospace & Defence sector.
The role focuses on managing the financial performance of support and maintenance contracts in a demanding aeronautical environment. The main objective is to identify cost overruns, protect profitability, and improve performance tracking tools in collaboration with operational and finance teams.
You will work closely with Maintenance/MRO, Supply Chain, Finance, and Management Control teams. The position combines financial analysis, cost control, reporting, and process improvement, with a strong link between financial data and operational realities.
## Key Responsibilities
– Analyze operational costs, including maintenance, labor, and spare parts
– Monitor Budget vs. Actual variances and identify the root causes of margin erosion
– Define, implement, and track cost reduction plans and performance KPIs
– Design and automate dashboards and reporting tools in Power BI
– Extract, consolidate, and validate data from SAP and internal systems
– Collaborate with Maintenance/MRO, Supply Chain, Finance, and Management Control teams
– Support continuous improvement initiatives and user adoption of tools and processes
## Required Skills
– Bac+5 degree in Finance, Management Control, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
– Minimum 5 years of experience in Cost Engineering, industrial management control, or performance analysis
– Strong understanding of costing, P&L, margin, profitability, and budget control
– Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query
– Advanced Excel skills
– SAP experience
– Fluent English, both written and spoken
– Strong analytical mindset
– Ability to work independently
– Ability to connect financial data with operational realities
