## About the Role

AUBAY is seeking a FinOps Specialist to manage and optimize cloud expenditure in a fully remote project. The role will connect technical cloud consumption with financial decision-making.

The position will focus on improving cloud cost visibility, governance, allocation, forecasting, and optimization. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance and senior management, translating cloud spending into clear financial information.

## Key Responsibilities

– Manage and analyze AWS cloud expenditure.
– Oversee budgets, alerts, and cloud spending governance mechanisms.
– Analyze consolidated AWS invoices and organization-level billing.
– Collaborate with Finance and senior management on cloud cost analysis.
– Assess the PPA and its terms, including annual commitments, discounts, and credits.
– Produce cost projections based on different migration scenarios.

## Required Skills

– Experience with AWS cloud cost management and billing.
– Knowledge of AWS Cost Explorer, Cost and Usage Report, AWS Budgets, and Cost Anomaly Detection.
– Experience managing Savings Plans and Reserved Instances.
– Knowledge of tagging and cost allocation practices.
– Experience with showback and chargeback models.
– Experience identifying rightsizing and continuous optimization opportunities.
– Knowledge of AWS Compute Optimizer and AWS Trusted Advisor.
– Ability to analyze consolidated AWS invoices and organizational billing.
– Experience managing cloud budgets, alerts, and governance.
– Ability to communicate effectively with Finance and senior management.
– Knowledge of the PPA, including annual commitments, discounts, and credits.
– Ability to project costs according to migration scenarios.

### Certifications

– AWS Cloud Practitioner certification or equivalent level — minimum recommended.
– FinOps Foundation Certified Practitioner (FOCP).

## FinOps Responsibilities

– Analyze AWS cloud spend using native AWS cost management tools.
– Manage Savings Plans and Reserved Instances, including purchase timing and coverage requirements.
– Ensure accurate financial tagging and cost allocation.
– Implement showback and chargeback models by business area or project.
– Identify rightsizing and ongoing cloud optimization opportunities.
– Manage cloud budgets, alerts, and spending governance.
– Review consolidated invoices and organizational billing.
– Analyze the PPA, annual commitments, discounts, and credits.
– Forecast costs across different migration scenarios.
– Translate cloud consumption and expenditure into financial information for Finance and management.
