## About the Role
This role sits within the Finance organization and focuses on improving the quality, speed, and reliability of financial analysis and reporting. It combines FP&A support, BI development, and finance-data translation to strengthen core metrics, executive visibility, and planning processes.
The position works closely with FP&A, Accounting, Finance leadership, the Sr. Financial Data Analyst, and upstream data stakeholders. It also partners with IT, data engineering, and operational system owners to improve data definitions, structures, and integrity across systems.
A key part of the role is building scalable reporting and analysis workflows in Power BI and SQL, with an early emphasis on the accounting function. The objective is to reduce manual effort, improve close and forecasting efficiency, and support better decision-making across Finance.
## Key Responsibilities
– Analyze and improve core financial metrics, including ARR, bookings, product performance, and retention.
– Build, maintain, and improve financial dashboards and reports in Power BI.
– Support monthly close with variance analysis against budget and clear explanation of business drivers.
– Automate manual consolidation and streamline forecasting models using technical tools and AI-enabled workflows.
– Improve reporting consistency, metric definitions, and data integrity across dashboards and executive reporting.
– Write and maintain SQL queries and scripts for reporting and analytics.
– Maintain datasets, reports, and dashboard infrastructure across BI tools and source systems.
– Enhance costing analysis across direct, semi-fixed, and variable cloud cost categories.
– Partner with Finance and data stakeholders to improve upstream data quality, structures, and usability.
– Support ad hoc financial and analytical requests from Finance leadership.
– Help raise the data and BI capability of the wider Finance team.
– Develop monitoring and data management processes to govern key data flows.
## Required Skills
– Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, finance analytics, or financial data roles within an enterprise SaaS environment.
– Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field.
– Advanced SQL skills, including complex query development, data transformation, and query optimization.
– Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Domo.
– Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS metrics, including ARR, bookings, ACV, churn, expansion, and retention.
– Ability to communicate complex data and methods clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, reporting consistency, and governance.
– Familiarity with operational revenue data from CRM and finance systems.
– Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure cost structures.
– Working familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite.
## Preferred Skills
– Experience spanning both traditional FP&A work and data or BI responsibilities.
– Experience with product cost analysis.
– Familiarity with cloud cost structures or FinOps concepts.
