What will you do?
As a FinOps Engineer, you will work simultaneously on multiple client assignments, tackling a variety of data and cloud-related challenges. You will develop and maintain dashboards, for example in Power BI, that provide insight into cloud costs and usage. Based on billing data and usage metrics, you will translate analyses into concrete optimization actions, and define and monitor KPIs such as cost per product, team, or customer.
You will closely monitor cloud spend across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP, identifying opportunities to reduce costs, such as rightsizing, reserved instances, and eliminating waste. In addition, you will support budgeting and forecasting processes and implement showback and chargeback models that create transparency around cost ownership.
You will help clients set up a mature FinOps practice, from processes and governance to tooling. In doing so, you will act as the connecting link between IT, Finance, and the Business. You will present your insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and actively contribute to increasing cost awareness and FinOps maturity, from Inform, through Optimize, to Operate.
