# Associate Cloud FinOps Manager

## About the Role
The Associate Cloud FinOps Manager is a pivotal role focused on enhancing the financial and operational performance of CDW’s small to mid-tier customer accounts. This position aims to develop and mature FinOps capabilities while collaborating with senior Cloud FinOps Managers to deliver governance, analytics, and optimization strategies that provide value to customers.

This role is tasked with analyzing cloud expenditures to identify savings opportunities, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and guide customers in adopting best practices. The Associate Cloud FinOps Manager is expected to demonstrate increasing independence and ownership over deliverables, ensuring effective financial management across assigned accounts.

## Key Responsibilities
– **Sales Support**: Collaborate with the sales organization in pre-sales activities to drive new business opportunities by providing technical insights and crafting proposal content that emphasizes Cloud FinOps value.
– **Strategic Planning**: Assist in forming tailored cloud financial strategies for small and mid-tier clients and establish governance frameworks for effective cost control.
– **Customer Collaboration**: Analyze customer cloud usage, cost drivers, and business goals to provide actionable recommendations for optimization and visibility.
– **Technical Advice**: Support optimization initiatives by analyzing resource utilization, efficiency, tagging strategies, and commitment approaches.
– **Advanced Analytics Support**: Produce usage trend analyses, anomaly detection, forecasting, and cost modeling for customer accounts.
– **Reporting & Dashboards**: Prepare and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics for assigned accounts.
– **Training & Education Support**: Develop training materials and assist in delivering FinOps education workshops to customers.
– **Relationship Building**: Foster strong relationships with customer contacts and internal stakeholders to ensure collaborative engagement.
– **Continuous Learning**: Stay updated on cloud pricing trends, optimization techniques, and emerging FinOps practices.

## Required Skills
– Proven experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including understanding of service architecture, consumption, and billing.
– Knowledge of cloud financial management disciplines including cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting.
– Strong analytical skills to interpret technical, financial, and usage data into meaningful insights.
– Familiarity with platforms like CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or willingness to gain expertise in these tools.
– Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
– Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple customers and workstreams effectively.
– Collaborative mindset for working with senior FinOps practitioners and cross-functional teams.
– Self-motivated and committed to continuous professional development in cloud and FinOps certifications.

## Preferred Skills
– Exposure to GreenOps, SaaS optimization, Software Asset Management (SAM), or IT Asset Management (ITAM) is advantageous.
