# Financial Analyst – Technology
## About the Role
This U.S.-based remote role supports an FP&A team within a technology-focused business function. You will contribute to financial planning, forecasting, expense management, performance analysis, and decision support in a global, fast-paced environment.
The position combines financial modeling with strategic business partnering. You will work with technology and cross-functional leaders to explain performance, manage costs, support resource planning, and improve operational efficiency.
You will also help modernize finance processes through automation, artificial intelligence, business intelligence, and scalable reporting practices, with exposure to SaaS, cloud hosting, and technology services.
## Key Responsibilities
– Manage budgets and forecasts for headcount, vendors, third-party hosting, operating expenses, and other technology costs.
– Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, variance analyses, dashboards, reports, and leadership materials.
– Monitor P&L performance, investigate material variances, identify drivers, and communicate actionable insights.
– Partner with technology and cross-functional leaders on cost optimization, transformation, resource planning, and operational efficiency.
– Analyze technology business models and related drivers, including cloud hosting, services, ACV, revenue, utilization, and capacity planning.
– Coordinate month-end activities and maintain regular collaboration between finance and technology stakeholders.
– Automate reporting and streamline financial processes using AI, business intelligence, automation, and analytics tools.
– Lead or support finance projects involving process improvement, documentation, reporting enhancements, and operational efficiency.
– Support headcount analysis and workforce planning while aligning financial plans with business priorities.
## Required Skills
– At least 3 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, or a comparable analytical role.
– Experience with operating expense planning, headcount management, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
– Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build dynamic, scalable, and well-structured models.
– Experience using AI, automation, business intelligence, or analytics tools to improve reporting, forecasting, or operational processes.
– Ability to understand technology-oriented business models and connect operational metrics to financial performance.
– Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to present financial information clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
– Strong organization and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
– Collaborative, proactive, and improvement-oriented approach.
– Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment and build cross-functional relationships.
## Preferred Skills
– Experience in a SaaS or technology environment.
– Experience with Adaptive Planning, OfficeConnect, SAP, or comparable financial planning and reporting platforms.

– Plan and forecast third-party hosting and other technology-related costs.
– Analyze cloud hosting, utilization, capacity, and related financial drivers.
– Partner with technology leaders on cost optimization and operational efficiency.
– Support expense management, variance analysis, and financial reporting for technology functions.
