## About the Role

The Principal – Finance Operations will transform Technology Finance Operations from a manual, spreadsheet-based function into an AI-enabled, systems-oriented operating model. The role will establish the operating cadence for planning, forecasting, governance, decision support, and execution across a $300M+ Product & Technology portfolio.

This position will lead the redesign of the FY28 budget process and help modernize how Product, Engineering, and Design triads work with PMO partners, business stakeholders, and executives. The role will improve planning across both capital and operating investments while building scalable systems for transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency.

The role works across Technology, Finance, Sourcing, Human Resources, the PMO, and external vendors. It reports to the Vice President – Head of Financial Operations.

## Key Responsibilities

– Own the Technology Operations business management function and establish its operating rhythm.
– Lead the redesign of the FY28 budget process.
– Oversee planning and operating cadence for the $300M+ Product & Technology budget.
– Partner with Finance, Sourcing, Human Resources, PMO, Technology executives, and other stakeholders on annual and multi-year operating plans.
– Replace manual financial and operational workflows with automation, intelligent workflows, and scalable management systems.
– Strengthen planning, governance, accountability, and transparency across Product, Engineering, and Design triads.
– Develop and maintain executive dashboards, KPIs, and operating reviews.
– Oversee vendor and investment governance across the Technology portfolio.
– Establish financial controls for planning, forecasting, reporting, capitalization, and monthly operating reviews.
– Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining service quality, resiliency, and long-term transformation goals.
– Improve business operations, financial stewardship, systems thinking, and execution standards.

## Required Skills

– 12+ years of experience in business operations, financial operations, FP&A, PMO, strategic planning, or related leadership roles supporting technology, infrastructure, or enterprise operations.
– Experience managing budgets, forecasts, business cases, capitalization planning, and executive financial reporting in complex organizations.
– Experience redesigning operating models, governance frameworks, planning processes, or business management functions.
– Demonstrated success leading cross-functional transformation in ambiguous, high-impact environments.
– Experience influencing senior leaders across multiple functions and aligning organizations without direct authority.
– Expertise in financial operations, vendor management, investment governance, cost optimization, and executive reporting.
– Experience designing executive dashboards, KPIs, and operating review mechanisms.
– Ability to translate strategic priorities into structured plans, measurable outcomes, and repeatable operating systems.
– Experience designing, implementing, or leading adoption of automation, analytics, dashboards, or AI-enabled workflows that reduced manual work in finance, planning, or business operations.
– Comfort working hands-on with automation, advanced analytics, and modern technology.
– Systems-thinking approach with sound business judgment and a focus on simplification, standardization, and continuous improvement.
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
