Role Description
One of our clients is looking for a Strategic Delivery Lead to lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale infrastructure separation and modernization. You will act as the primary interface between the client and engineering teams, translating business requirements into executable plans for cloud, security, and IT operations.
Full time permanent role based in Toronto, Hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Delivery Management:
Manage infrastructure and IT operations end-to-end, meeting all scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets.
Deliver full infrastructure separation from shared MSP environments, including network, AD, servers, and security.
Lead the incumbent MSP exit, transition stabilization, and shift to long-term steady-state operations.
Track integrated delivery plans, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and proactive mitigation strategies.
Drive consistent execution across parallel workstreams for cloud, security, network, and end-user operations.
Customer & Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary customer-facing lead for all delivery commitments.
Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear, executable delivery plans.
Lead governance forums, status reviews, and executive-level reporting.
Align Client IT, business units, engineering teams, and third-party vendors.
Proactively manage escalations, project risks, and cross-team dependencies.
Infrastructure & Cloud Transformation, Network, Security/Compliance Oversight:
Lead the delivery of a standalone, client-owned infrastructure model with clear governance.
Implement cloud governance, FinOps alignment, identity controls, and automation standards.
Drive proactive monitoring and alerting across all servers, networks, and cloud services.
Coordinate deployment of security services, including SOC/MDR, SIEM, and vulnerability management.
Ensure infrastructure adheres to all regulatory, audit, and security posture requirements.
Oversee multi-office IT support, including connectivity, LAN rooms, and wireless management.
Manage end-to-end user services, including device lifecycles, onboarding, and helpdesk support.
Enforce Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls, including DLP, MFA, and backups.
Documentation & Operational Readiness:
Direct the creation of operational assets, including Runbooks, SOPs, architecture diagrams, DR/BCP plans, and asset inventories.
Lead operational readiness, post-transition handovers, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
12+ years in IT delivery, infrastructure program management, or IT operations leadership.
Transformation Expertise:
Proven track record leading large-scale infrastructure modernizations or MSP transitions.
Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of Enterprise IT (Networks, AD, Servers), Cloud (Azure preferred), Security/Compliance, and End-User Computing.
Leadership:
Expert at coordinating cross-functional onsite and offshore engineering teams.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills.
Industry & Presence:
Experience in regulated environments (Insurance preferred) and a commitment to onsite engagement.
