# Specialist Finance Controller, Technology
## About the Role
The Tech Controlling team within Tech & Product is looking for a Specialist Finance Controller to support global cloud cost management and related finance processes. The role focuses on creating financial transparency for cloud tools and services used across the business, including cost cross-charging and capitalization.
You will work closely with tech, product, procurement, and finance stakeholders across global teams to improve cost accountability, strengthen controlling processes, and automate routine work. The position is based in Berlin and covers a broad mix of topics and projects in a fast-changing environment.
## Key Responsibilities
– Manage and analyse multi-million-dollar cloud costs at global group level
– Build financial transparency for globally used cloud tools and services
– Improve cost allocation, splitting, and chargeback processes across entities
– Support procurement and the management of global third-party tech contracts
– Develop cost scenarios, forecasts, and financial models for tech spending
– Help automate controlling tasks and improve efficiency
– Support capitalization of development projects for headquarters tech teams
– Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecast updates, and monthly variance analyses
– Review trends across P&L, balance sheet, and non-financial KPIs
– Work with global teams to promote cost accountability
## Required Skills
– At least 2 years of experience in IT cost controlling
– Strong financial analysis and data modelling skills
– Ability to turn data into insights and recommendations
– Experience preparing ad hoc analyses, statistics, and variance analyses
– Advanced Excel modelling and analytical skills
– Strong interest in process and cost optimisation
– Pragmatic, proactive, and execution-oriented approach
– Strong English communication skills
– Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical teams at different seniority levels
– Willingness to keep learning and take responsibility
– Self-motivation in a fast-paced, changing environment

– Good understanding of cloud pricing models, charging methods, and cloud billing and reporting
