## About the Role
SaveIN is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to support both finance operations and lender/NBFC partner management within its digital lending business. The role is split roughly 65% finance and 35% lender/NBFC management, with ownership across close, reporting, settlements, budgeting, compliance, and commercial support.
This position is intended for someone who understands lending P&L dynamics and has worked directly with Banks and NBFCs. It offers regular exposure to the founders and CFO, and the scope is designed to grow into end-to-end ownership of the finance and lender management function.
## Key Responsibilities
### Finance
– Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including schedules, provisions, accruals, and books hygiene across entities.
– Prepare financial statements under Ind AS / applicable GAAP and maintain supporting working papers.
– Strengthen internal controls and process documentation across revenue, collections, and payouts.
– Review accounting treatment for lending revenue streams, including subvention, processing fees, interest income, and commissions.
### Settlements, Reconciliations & Invoicing
– Own end-to-end reconciliations across lenders, payment gateways, merchants, and the internal LMS for disbursals, collections, refunds, and cancellations.
– Raise and track lender and merchant invoices, ensuring timely settlement and clean ageing.
### MIS, Budgeting & Unit Economics
– Prepare monthly MIS and management dashboards covering portfolio, revenue, cost of funds, and opex.
– Own the annual budget and rolling forecast, track actuals against plan, and explain variances.
– Build and maintain unit economics and product-level P&L models across different categories.
### Compliance, Audit & Taxation
– Manage GST, TDS, advance tax, and other statutory filings with external consultants.
– Act as the primary point of contact for statutory, internal, and lender audits.
– Track RBI and other regulatory reporting obligations relevant to an LSP / digital lending setup.
– Maintain the compliance calendar and ensure deadlines are met.
### Lender & NBFC Management
– Serve as the internal SPOC for lender-facing commercial and financial matters, including limits, payouts, FLDG utilisation, and SLA tracking.
– Build working relationships with lender finance, credit, and alliance teams.
– Prepare and present periodic lender review decks and drive follow-ups through closure.
### New Partnerships & Onboarding
– Support leadership in identifying, approaching, and evaluating new Banks and NBFCs.
– Work on commercial structuring, including pricing, IRR, subvention, FLDG, and co-lending / DA constructs, and assess the economics before commitment.
– Own the data room and financial diligence responses during lender onboarding.
– Track onboarding and integration milestones across lender, tech, legal, and finance teams through go-live.
## Required Skills
– Qualified Chartered Accountant.
– 3–4 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
– Experience in a fintech, NBFC, bank, or digital lending business.
– Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliation, MIS, and statutory compliance.
– Direct experience dealing with Banks and NBFCs.
– Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
– Strong ownership and follow-through.
## Preferred Skills
– Big 4 or reputed firm articleship, combined with industry experience in a lending business.
– Understanding of co-lending, FLDG, direct assignment, STPL, or embedded finance structures.
– Familiarity with RBI Digital Lending Directions and the LSP operating model.
– Exposure to ECL / provisioning, cost of funds workings, and portfolio-level analytics.
– Existing working relationships with Banks or NBFCs.
