## About the Role
This Senior FinOps Practitioner position is based in Noida and follows a five-day in-office schedule. The role is focused on improving cloud cost efficiency across AWS, Azure, and GCP while strengthening financial accountability within engineering and product teams.
You will work closely with engineering, product, and finance stakeholders to analyze cloud spend, improve visibility into usage and costs, and support budgeting and forecasting. The aim is to help the business realize more value from its cloud investments through disciplined FinOps practices.
## Key Responsibilities
– Analyze cloud spending patterns and identify opportunities to reduce cost.
– Apply optimization approaches such as rightsizing, reserved instances, committed use discounts (CUDs), savings plans, and spot instances.
– Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track cloud cost KPIs.
– Monitor cloud resource usage and drive ongoing efficiency improvements.
– Establish and enforce cloud cost policies and procedures.
– Develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, and recommend budget adjustments where needed.
– Implement chargeback and showback models to improve cost awareness and accountability.
– Partner with engineering, product, and finance teams on cloud cost initiatives.
– Communicate cloud cost insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
– Provide training and guidance on FinOps best practices.
– Evaluate and work with cloud cost management tools, including Cloud Health, Cloudability, and Cloud Native portal.
– Stay current on FinOps tools and trends.
## Required Skills
– 5+ years of experience in cloud cost management / FinOps.
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
– Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, and GCP.
– Experience with cloud cost optimization tools such as Cloudability, Cloud Health, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, and GCP Billing Console.
– Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Experience with cloud cost optimization, financial analysis, data visualization, budgeting and forecasting, collaboration, problem solving, and FinOps framework understanding.
## Preferred Skills
– FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) certification.
– Engineer-level certification for AWS, Azure, or GCP.
