# FinOps Practitioner

## About the Role

This position is part of an international cloud optimization project focused on cloud cost reduction, financial governance, and improved platform usage. The role exists to strengthen FinOps maturity and support more efficient use of cloud resources.

The FinOps Practitioner will help align technology, operations, and financial objectives. The role works across Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, Finance, Procurement, and business stakeholders, translating technical consumption data into actionable financial insight.

## Key Responsibilities

– Implement and operate FinOps practices aligned with the FinOps Foundation framework.
– Support cloud cost optimization and financial governance initiatives.
– Analyze consumption patterns to identify efficiency opportunities.
– Define and track cloud financial performance metrics.
– Contribute to the design and implementation of FinOps processes.
– Promote best practices for cloud resource allocation and optimization.
– Improve visibility and transparency of technology costs.
– Support chargeback/showback and cloud budgeting activities.
– Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, Finance, Procurement, and business stakeholders.
– Turn technical data into financial insights that support decision-making.
– Help advance FinOps maturity and continuous process improvement.

## Required Skills

– 2+ years of experience in technology environments with a FinOps focus.
– Strong knowledge of the FinOps Foundation framework.
– Hands-on experience across the Inform, Optimize, and Operate phases.
– Experience implementing and operating FinOps processes.
– Strong analytical ability to interpret consumption, costs, and optimization opportunities.
– Fluent English.
– FinOps Certified Practitioner certification.
– European nationality.
– Availability for a hybrid work model in Lisbon.
– Availability for occasional international travel.
