We are seeking a FinOps Architect to lead enterprise-wide cloud financial management, cost optimization, and governance initiatives across multi-cloud environments. This role will drive the design and implementation of FinOps frameworks, tooling, and cost models while partnering with engineering, finance, and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud cost structures, Apptio and ServiceNow implementations, and the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights for leadership.
Responsibilities
Define and implement FinOps strategy, frameworks, and best practices across cloud environments
Architect and deploy Apptio Cloudability/ITFM solutions, including data onboarding, cost models, allocation hierarchies, and dashboards
Lead ServiceNow SAM Pro/TAM implementations, including discovery integrations, normalization, and license reconciliation
Design and manage multi-layer TCO models covering infrastructure, licensing, operations, and workforce costs
Provide deep insights into cloud spend across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, driving optimization and cost governance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial and technical strategies
Present cost insights, optimization strategies, and business cases to senior leadership and clients
Drive adoption of FinOps practices aligned with FinOps Foundation capabilities
Evaluate and integrate additional tools and automation for cost management and reporting
Requirements
10–15 years of experience in FinOps, IT Finance, Cloud Architecture, or related roles
Proven hands-on experience implementing Apptio Cloudability or ITFM from scratch (data onboarding, cost modeling, allocation, dashboards)
Strong experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro or TAM implementations, including integrations (SCCM/Flexera), normalization, and license management
Deep understanding of cost structures and pricing models across at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Expertise in building enterprise-grade TCO models (infrastructure, licensing, operations, and people costs)
Strong knowledge of FinOps Foundation framework, phases, and capability areas
Experience working with tools such as Flexera, Snow, CloudHealth, or Turbonomic
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including C-suite engagement
Familiarity with data integration and automation (Python, SQL, REST APIs)
Certifications (Required/Preferred):
FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) – Preferred
Apptio Certified Professional – Preferred
Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) – Preferred
AWS Solutions Architect / Azure Administrator / GCP Professional Cloud Architect – Preferred
