# Budget Management / FP&A Member — IT Finance
## About the Role
The IT Planning Department manages the financial planning and management accounting of technology development costs across Rakuten Group. This includes budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting to support transparent and effective IT investment decisions.
In this role, you will work with system development teams to prepare budgets, analyze Budget versus Actual and Budget versus Forecast performance, and provide information to technology managers and executives. You will collaborate with the CIO, CTO, technology leaders, development project managers, overseas subsidiaries, and the Corporate Finance and Accounting Division.
## Key Responsibilities
– Prepare timely execution plans for each development department.
– Enter and maintain budget data in the Budget Management System.
– Conduct Budget versus Actual and Budget versus Forecast analysis.
– Prepare financial reports for technology managers and executives.
– Identify opportunities to improve daily operations through the PDCA cycle.
– Support budget planning in collaboration with system development and business teams.
## Required Skills
– More than three years of experience in FP&A, management accounting, or financial planning.
– Basic knowledge of financial and management accounting.
– Experience analyzing data using Excel.
– Native-level Japanese.
– Business-level English.
## Preferred Skills
– Experience improving business processes.
– Professional experience in the IT industry.
– Nissho Bookkeeping Grade 2 certification or US CPA qualification.
## Languages
– Japanese: Fluent, Level 4.
– English: Advanced, Level 3.
