# Director, Technology Business Management
## About the Role
The Director, Technology Business Management will establish and lead BeOne’s Technology Business Management and FinOps capabilities across foundational technology services, including public cloud, data centers, networks, compute, storage, observability, backup and recovery, managed services, infrastructure platforms, software tooling, and related services.
The role will improve technology cost visibility, consumption governance, financial accountability, and value optimization. It will partner with Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, Network, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Finance, Procurement, Data, AI, Application, and Business Technology teams.
The Director will lead budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, showback and chargeback, unit economics, vendor commitment management, cost optimization, consumption governance, and executive reporting. The role also includes leadership and development of a Technology Business Management and FinOps team.
## Key Responsibilities
– Establish the Technology Business Management and FinOps operating model across foundational technology services.
– Develop financial governance, cost transparency, allocation, showback, and chargeback practices.
– Create budgets, forecasts, variance reporting, financial performance reviews, and executive reporting.
– Define standards for cost centers, service taxonomy, tagging, metadata, account and subscription structures, and allocation methodologies.
– Drive accountability for technology consumption across platform, application, data, AI, business, and regional teams.
– Develop consumption strategies balancing cost, performance, reliability, security, compliance, and delivery speed.
– Identify and lead optimization initiatives across cloud, data centers, networks, compute, storage, databases, observability, backup, AI/HPC, and managed services.
– Implement rightsizing, scheduling, cleanup, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and demand management with engineering teams.
– Manage savings plans, reserved instances, committed use discounts, enterprise agreements, software licensing, vendor commitments, and service-provider optimization.
– Support vendor negotiations through consumption analytics, forecasts, benchmarking, scenario planning, and commitment recommendations.
– Establish workload- and service-level unit economics and standard service-cost models.
– Develop policies and guardrails to reduce waste, prevent cost leakage, and improve financial discipline.
– Lead cloud cost visibility, tagging compliance, budget controls, anomaly detection, optimization backlog management, and savings realization tracking.
– Embed cost controls into landing zones, infrastructure-as-code modules, deployment pipelines, and platform guardrails.
– Support cost-aware architectures for cloud-native applications, data platforms, AI/ML workloads, databases, network egress, storage tiers, and observability services.
– Manage financial analysis for data centers, colocation, telecom, WAN, SD-WAN, internet, private connectivity, cloud connectivity, backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and infrastructure tooling.
– Support total cost of ownership analysis, lifecycle planning, consumption forecasting, modernization decisions, and infrastructure strategy.
– Identify opportunities to rationalize platforms, retire unused services, eliminate duplicate tooling, and improve vendor value.
– Build financial models, consumption forecasts, cost baselines, scenario plans, KPIs, and scorecards.
– Report on consumption, optimization progress, savings, forecast accuracy, investment risks, unit-cost trends, commitment utilization, tagging compliance, utilization, and value realization.
– Translate technical consumption patterns into clear financial and operational insights for senior leadership.
– Support business cases for cloud migration, data center modernization, platform automation, network transformation, resilience investment, and AI/data platform expansion.
– Define governance forums, roles, decision rights, escalation paths, review cadences, standards, playbooks, and operating procedures.
– Evaluate and implement TBM, FinOps, cost management, reporting, and automation tools.
– Monitor industry practices, cloud-provider capabilities, infrastructure economics, and technology financial-management practices.
– Recruit, onboard, develop, mentor, evaluate, and support the performance and career growth of the Technology Business Management and FinOps team.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
– At least 10 years of relevant experience in technology, infrastructure, cloud operations, finance, procurement, analytics, technology business management, or related functions.
– At least 5 years of experience in cloud financial management, infrastructure cost management, technology consumption governance, or technology business management.
– Experience leading TBM, FinOps, cloud cost management, infrastructure financial governance, IT finance, technology operations analytics, or related functions.
– Experience with AWS.
– Strong understanding of foundational technology services, public cloud pricing, infrastructure architecture, cloud operating models, DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, platform engineering, network architecture, service management, and vendor management.
– Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and financial reporting tools.
– Advanced Excel, data analysis, dashboarding, and executive reporting skills.
– Experience building dashboards, KPIs, governance processes, executive reports, and business cases.
– Strong analytical, financial modeling, communication, and executive presentation skills.
– Ability to collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, Application, Data, AI, and senior technology leadership.
– Ability to influence without direct authority across global, cross-functional teams.
– Fluent written and verbal English.

– Advanced degree.
– Experience with Azure, GCP, multi-cloud, data center, and network cost management.
– FinOps Foundation, TBM, cloud provider, ITIL, or equivalent professional certification.
– Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
– Familiarity with the FinOps Framework, Technology Business Management, IT service costing, cost allocation, and financial governance.
– Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Apptio, Cloudability, CloudHealth, Flexera, ServiceNow, AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Cost and Usage Reports, Azure Cost Management, Google Cloud Billing, Datadog Cloud Cost Management, native cloud billing tools, or equivalent platforms.

– Lead FinOps across AWS, Azure, GCP, and related cloud-native services.
– Establish cloud cost visibility, tagging compliance, budget controls, anomaly detection, and optimization backlogs.
– Track savings realization, avoided costs, cost risks, utilization, commitment coverage, and optimization outcomes.
– Manage cost allocation, shared services, account and subscription structures, and workload economics.
– Support savings plans, reserved instances, committed use discounts, enterprise agreements, licensing, and other vendor commitments.
– Embed cost controls into cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code, deployment pipelines, and guardrails.

## Compensation & Travel
– **Salary range in Poland:** PLN 364,200–455,200
– Business travel may be required.
