## About the Role
This client-facing consulting role supports organizations in understanding, managing, and optimizing the value of their technology investments. The position operates at the intersection of IT, Finance, and Strategy, helping clients improve cost transparency, decision-making, and business outcomes from technology spend.
You will contribute to IT Finance, Technology Business Management (TBM), and FinOps transformations for large organizations. The role involves assessing maturity, designing practical improvement roadmaps, and helping clients establish effective governance, processes, and operating models.
You will work with stakeholders across IT and Finance, facilitate workshops, and translate complex financial and technology data into clear recommendations. Projects may span industries and geographies, with collaboration across the international Intelligent Consulting Hub.
## Key Responsibilities
– Support IT Finance, TBM, and FinOps transformation initiatives.
– Assess IT cost transparency and IT financial management maturity.
– Define actionable improvement roadmaps.
– Design and improve IT cost models, service costing, and allocation mechanisms.
– Support showback and chargeback model development.
– Help clients implement or optimize Apptio and other IT cost management solutions.
– Facilitate workshops with IT, Finance, and other stakeholders.
– Translate financial and technology data into insights for decision-makers.
– Support the development of governance, processes, and ways of working for IT Finance and FinOps.
– Collaborate with senior stakeholders in cross-functional and consulting environments.
## Required Skills
– 2–5 years of experience in IT Finance, TBM, FinOps, or a related area.
– Understanding of IT cost structures, budgeting, forecasting, and IT finance processes.
– Experience in consulting, transformation projects, or cross-functional environments.
– Ability to connect business, finance, and technology perspectives.
– Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
– Analytical thinking and the ability to structure complex problems.
– Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for storytelling and structured analysis.
## Preferred Skills
– Experience with TBM or FinOps frameworks.
– Exposure to Apptio or other IT cost management solutions.
– Experience designing cost allocation models.
– Familiarity with cloud cost management concepts.
– Relevant FinOps or TBM certifications.
