## About the Role
The Cost Optimisation Analyst will report to the Cost Optimisation Manager and support the analysis, monitoring, and optimisation of cloud spend across the organisation. The role exists to strengthen financial accountability, improve efficiency, and support data-driven decisions that help control cloud expenditure.
You will work closely with finance, IT, engineering, and product teams to improve cost visibility, maintain governance, and embed cost-conscious practices across cloud operations. The role also supports profitability by identifying savings opportunities and tracking optimisation actions.

## Key Responsibilities
– Track cloud usage and spend across multiple cloud platforms, and produce reports and dashboards that highlight trends and anomalies.
– Implement and enforce tagging policies to improve cost allocation and support chargeback and showback.
– Support cloud budgeting and forecasting using historical data and growth assumptions, and monitor actual spend against forecast.
– Analyse usage patterns to identify waste, underutilised resources, and over-provisioned assets.
– Recommend and track optimisation actions such as rightsizing and reserved instances.
– Maintain cloud spending governance, tagging standards, and resource lifecycle controls, and support audits and compliance requirements.
– Manage cloud cost management tools, automate recurring reporting and alerts, and improve cost-control processes.
– Work with engineering, product, and finance teams to build cost awareness and support cross-functional optimisation initiatives.
– Establish and operationalise cost models for AI consumption at token, model, and agent level to improve enterprise AI cost transparency.
