# Analyst / Senior Analyst, Corporate Planning & Management (CPM) – Engineering CFO

## About the Role
This role sits within CPM’s Engineering CFO function and supports the financial governance of the firm’s engineering investment portfolio. It focuses on execution across planning, analysis, and reporting for a multi-billion-dollar technology spend base.

You will work closely with engineering teams and divisional finance colleagues to support Zero Based Budgeting (ZBB), track budgets and actuals, and maintain reporting that informs investment decisions. The role also includes developing visibility into AI-related costs and helping ensure technology spend remains aligned with firmwide financial guardrails.

## Key Responsibilities
– Run day-to-day ZBB activities, including data collection, template management, and analysis for engineering portfolio reviews.
– Prepare materials and data packs used to review, justify, and prioritize engineering investments.
– Track budget-versus-actual performance across public cloud, infrastructure, and software spend.
– Perform variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and efficiency opportunities.
– Develop, maintain, and distribute reports and dashboards for AI-related expenditures.
– Partner with engineering and finance stakeholders to gather inputs, clarify allocations, and support budget justification.
– Maintain and update cost allocation models.
– Improve cost transparency by linking infrastructure and cloud consumption data to business applications and services.
– Support enhancements to planning tools, dashboards, and reporting templates.
– Help streamline reporting and strengthen data quality through analytics and automation.

## Required Skills
– 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, business analysis, or engineering finance.
– CA, MBA Finance, or an equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
– Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, data manipulation, and financial modeling.
– Ability to work with, or quickly learn, enterprise planning tools such as Anaplan and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
– Understanding of technology cost drivers, including cloud, infrastructure, and software.
– Familiarity with allocation frameworks.
– Strong interest in or knowledge of AI technologies and their infrastructure cost structure.
– Strong analytical and quantitative skills with close attention to detail.
– Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
– Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a demanding environment.
