# Job Title: FinOps Specialist
## About the Role
As a FinOps Specialist within the Service Reliability team, you will serve as a technical and methodological reference for the FinOps framework. The primary objective of this position is to design, implement, and evolve FinOps practices to foster a culture of cost accountability aligned with technology decisions, reliability, and performance.
This role involves collaborating closely with platform and product teams to promote sustainable autonomy and adoption of FinOps principles within the organization. You will also play a critical part in governance discussions and decision-making processes related to IT prioritization, investments, and migrations.
## Key Responsibilities
– Design and evolve the FinOps framework, including practices, governance, indicators, and tooling.
– Operationalize FinOps across the organization: visibility, showback, continuous optimization, and prioritization.
– Act as the FinOps reference for platform and product teams to enhance autonomy and sustainable adoption.
– Ensure the quality, coherence, and credibility of cost data used in IT and executive decisions.
– Contribute to FinOps governance bodies and support strategic decisions on IT prioritization and investments.
– Provide Cloud Cost Management expertise to inform technical decisions and identify concrete optimization opportunities.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
– Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a FinOps environment (culture, governance, and continuous improvement).
– Proficient understanding of cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, including their cost models.
– Familiarity with analytical platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
– Experience with observability tools, including Datadog.
– Strong communication skills in both French and English, both written and oral.
– Ability to translate cost data into actionable decisions and maintain a systemic view of cost, reliability, performance, and technical debt.
