# FinOps Analyst
## About the Role
Tecsys is seeking a detail-oriented FinOps Analyst to support the financial and operational management of its Product and Technology department.
You will analyze financial and operational performance, develop forecasts and financial models, improve processes, and support accurate financial reporting. The role works closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to inform planning, investment, and business decisions.
## Key Responsibilities
– Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and support strategic decisions.
– Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts for planning and budgeting.
– Evaluate and improve financial and operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
– Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior leadership.
– Conduct financial analysis for business development and investment decisions.
– Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls.
– Establish strategies, models, processes, and tools for managing IT costs.
– Support understanding and management of cloud service billing practices.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Accounting, or an equivalent field, combined with relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
– Strong interest in accounting and finance for candidates with an IT or information systems background, or strong interest in IT, cloud technologies, and cloud service providers for candidates with an accounting background.
– At least one year of relevant experience as an IT or finance professional, including experience in IT management.
– Knowledge of IT infrastructure and public cloud service concepts.
– Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
– Strong interpersonal, consulting, and facilitation skills.
– Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities.
– Excellent written and spoken English, required for communication with clients, vendors, business partners, and colleagues outside Quebec.
## Preferred Skills
– AWS, Azure, and/or GCP certification.
– FinOps Practitioner, Cloud Financial Management, Total Business Management, or equivalent certification.
– Professional experience in cloud computing.
– Experience with Power BI.
