About this role
In this role, you will lead a team of Cloud Engineers to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud platforms across the Reconomy Group. You will drive the adoption of modern DevOps, SecOps, and FinOps practices, enabling engineering teams to deliver faster and more efficiently. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership and cross-functional collaboration in a global, cloud-first organisation.

🔧 What you’ll do
Lead and mentor a cross-divisional team of Cloud Engineers
Design and deliver scalable, secure, highly available Azure/AWS cloud infrastructure
Drive a real shift-left DevSecOps/FinOps culture across the organisation
Build automated IaC platform solutions (Terraform/Bicep/Ansible)
Partner with engineering teams globally to enable 24/7 resilient applications
Own cloud cost governance, CI/CD maturity and platform reliability
Influence architecture, process improvement, and engineering excellence

💡 What we’re looking for
Strong technical leadership in cloud engineering
Solid experience with Azure (preferred), AWS, IaC, CI/CD, Kubernetes
Deep understanding of DevOps, SecOps, FinOps practices
Ability to build scalable cloud platforms and modern automation frameworks
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
A leader who inspires, coaches, and lifts teams

🎯 Top 3 Must-Have
Strong multi-cloud technical expertise (Azure preferred) with advanced IaC (Terraform/Bicep) and automation skills, plus solid FinOps knowledge
Proven leadership and change-management capability (50% hands-on / 50% leadership), able to drive DevSecOps adoption and process transformation across teams
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including the ability to proactively manage and prioritize a shared backlog serving multiple delivery streams, while acting as an AI champion for productivity improvement
