# About the Role
Tecsys is seeking a FinOps Analyst to manage and optimize the finances and operations of its Product and Technology department. The role supports financial planning, budgeting, cost management, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making.
You will analyze financial and operational performance, develop forecasts, improve processes, and prepare reports for senior management. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams and supports business development and investment decisions.
## Key Responsibilities
– Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and support strategic decisions.
– Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, budgets, and planning materials.
– Evaluate financial and operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
– Establish and support IT cost-management strategies, processes, models, and tools.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
– Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management.
– Conduct financial analysis for business development and investment decisions.
– Support the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
– A strong interest in accounting and finance, or in computer science, cloud technologies, and cloud providers, depending on educational background.
– At least one year of relevant experience as an IT or finance professional managing IT.
– Knowledge of IT infrastructure and public cloud concepts.
– Understanding of cloud billing practices and procedures.
– Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
– Ability to develop IT cost-management strategies, models, processes, and tools.
– Strong interpersonal, consultative, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
– Strong written and verbal English communication skills for working with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond Quebec.
## Preferred Skills
– AWS, Azure, and/or GCP cloud certification.
– FinOps Practitioner, Cloud Financial Management, Total Business Management, or equivalent certification.
– Professional experience in cloud environments.
– Experience with Power BI.
