# Head of Technology Accounts and Software Asset Management

## About the Role

This senior leadership position oversees technology vendor governance and Software Asset Management across a complex global technology landscape. It carries accountability for a vendor portfolio representing several hundred million CHF in spend and leads a team of around a dozen professionals.

The function is designed to keep critical technology suppliers operating to clear standards for control, performance, compliance, and commercial discipline. The role works closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Security, Architecture, and Operations to support stable vendor relationships, reduce risk, and improve value realization.

## Key Responsibilities

– Lead the Technology Vendor Management and Software Asset Management function, including strategy, operating model, standards, governance forums, and team development.
– Oversee a large vendor ecosystem across software, SaaS, cloud, platforms, on-premise infrastructure, infrastructure services, and managed services.
– Define vendor management standards, including SLAs, governance structure, escalation paths, performance expectations, and minimum control requirements.
– Own the SAM roadmap and lifecycle governance across entitlement, deployment, usage, compliance, optimization, and remediation.
– Design the vendor lifecycle model from onboarding and classification through performance management, risk monitoring, renewal governance, and exit planning.
– Build dashboards and leadership reporting on vendor performance, SAM status, license compliance, risk exposure, operational stability, and key actions.
– Lead or support vendor audit defense and remediation of licensing, contractual, or compliance issues.
– Drive software and technology spend optimization through usage analysis, renewal governance, license harvesting, reclaim, rightsizing, contract review, and demand alignment.
– Advise senior stakeholders on vendor risk, software compliance, licensing exposure, operational stability, and vendor value.

## Required Skills

– 10+ years of experience in technology vendor management, Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, supplier governance, software licensing, IT sourcing, technology procurement, service provider management, or enterprise IT governance.
– Experience governing large-scale vendor portfolios with complex contracts, critical suppliers, material spend, and senior stakeholder accountability.
– Strong understanding of vendor governance models, lifecycle management, SLAs, performance management, escalation processes, service reviews, and risk monitoring.
– Strong understanding of SAM/ITAM operating models, asset lifecycle management, entitlement management, usage visibility, compliance, and optimization controls.
– Proven experience with software license compliance, audit defense, remediation, true-ups, renewal governance, or license optimization.
– Experience managing strategic technology vendors through QBRs, KPIs, risk tracking, commercial alignment, and performance improvement.
– Experience managing outsourced service providers, including transition, knowledge transfer, service stabilization, or operational handover.
– Demonstrated ability to improve transparency, operational stability, vendor accountability, and service performance.
– Leadership experience in a team, practice, function, or global/matrix environment.
– Strong stakeholder management skills across IT, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Security, Architecture, and business leadership.

## Preferred Skills

– Experience with SAM/ITAM platforms such as ServiceNow SAM, Flexera, Snow Software, or similar tools.
– Experience with major enterprise vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, VMware, ServiceNow, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Dell, HPE, or Cisco.
– Experience with infrastructure vendor governance, data center vendors, hardware lifecycle, infrastructure services, or hybrid IT environments.
– Certifications such as CSAM, CITAM, ITIL v4, or vendor-specific licensing certifications.
– Experience in regulated industries such as pharma, healthcare, financial services, or other highly governed environments.
– Exposure to SaaS spend management, cloud cost governance, or FinOps-related practices.

## FinOps Responsibilities

– Optimize software and technology spend through usage analysis, renewal governance, license harvesting, reclaim, rightsizing, contract review, and demand alignment.
– Improve spend transparency and value realization through leadership dashboards and reporting on vendor performance, SAM status, license compliance, risk exposure, and operational stability.

## Benefits

– Salary range: 23,300–43,300 PLN gross under the employment contract.
– Expected salary range for the Warsaw Grafit location: 280,000–520,000 PLN gross.
