## About the Role

This position focuses on cloud cost management and financial governance across cloud environments. The main purpose of the role is to monitor spending, analyse usage, and support optimisation efforts that improve cost efficiency.

You will work with engineering, architecture, and finance teams to identify savings opportunities and improve visibility into cloud consumption. The role also supports budgeting and forecasting activities, as well as reporting on spending trends and anomalies.

## Key Responsibilities

– Monitor cloud costs and resource usage to identify optimisation opportunities.
– Support budgeting and forecasting processes linked to cloud consumption.
– Build reports and dashboards to track spend, trends, and cost anomalies.
– Partner with engineering, architecture, and finance teams to drive cost-saving initiatives.

## Required Skills

– Experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, or cloud cost optimisation.
– Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud, including billing models.
– Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and cloud cost management tools such as IBM Cloudability.
– Strong analytical, financial, and stakeholder management skills.

## FinOps Responsibilities

– Monitor cloud spend and resource usage.
– Support budgeting and forecasting for cloud costs.
– Produce reporting and dashboarding for spend, trends, and anomalies.
– Work cross-functionally to identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities.
