## About the Role
This role sits within a bank-wide Cost Simplification Programme funded by Fit For Growth. The programme is designed to simplify, standardize, and digitize cost management and performance reporting, with a focus on improving transparency, efficiency, and control across the bank.
The position supports the move toward front-to-back visibility of profitability, with spend linked more clearly to cost drivers and business activity. It also helps create the foundation for product-level costing, which is intended to support better frontline pricing decisions and stronger cost ownership across the firm.
You will work closely with Technology, Operations and Functions Finance, as well as the CFO for Technology, Operations and Functions, Group FP&A, function CFOs, the FFG Programme Office, and FFG Finance. The role is expected to help drive savings initiatives, improve reporting processes, and support executive-level financial decision-making.
## Key Responsibilities
– Establish a strong governance process for Technology, Operations and Functions to ensure compliance with FFG requirements.
– Partner with cross-functional teams to support the delivery of digital initiatives.
– Build a data knowledge repository and advisory capability to improve insight and productivity across T&O and Functions Finance.
– Simplify, centralize, standardize, and automate cost booking, allocation, and reporting processes across countries, business units, and segments.
– Develop strategic plans and sustainable savings initiatives, including business cases, P&L impact assessments, and benefits quantification.
– Support cost management and cost base optimization through analysis of trends, outliers, and improvement opportunities.
– Provide independent challenge to management and help drive actions that deliver targeted outcomes.
– Facilitate meetings and stakeholder discussions to support FFG delivery.
– Track KPIs and lead regular performance reviews across the cost initiative portfolio.
– Prepare executive-ready presentations that support the financial narrative of cost initiatives.
– Support control, accounting, and governance activities, including compliance with Group Accounting Principles, Financial Control policy, and relevant regulatory accounting guidelines.
– Lead by example and help build a high-performance, collaborative, and change-oriented culture.
## Required Skills
– 10+ years of leadership experience in reporting automation, data visualization, or data engineering, preferably within FP&A.
– Proven track record of delivering cost efficiencies and productivity improvements.
– Strong senior stakeholder management experience in a global, highly matrixed organization, preferably in banking.
– Strong familiarity with financial systems and control frameworks in a banking environment.
– Experience working with digital tools.
– Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and navigate ambiguity.
– Ability to influence without direct authority and work effectively in unstructured situations.
– Experience leading and inspiring multidisciplinary teams in diverse, international environments.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Comfort working across different time zones and cultures.

– Simplify and standardize cost booking, allocation, and reporting models.

– Build business cases, quantify benefits, and track savings realization.
– Monitor KPIs and review progress on cost initiatives.
