## About the Role
The Associate Manager will join Mattel’s Global Technology Organization as part of the Business Value Management team, which supports Portfolio Governance, the IT Business Office, and Vendor Management. This role is a key financial position for the newly created global capability center in Hyderabad, with responsibility for financial visibility, operational governance, and business office support across IT functions.
The role works closely with onshore teams and stakeholders to align offshore activities with business objectives and corporate policy. It also supports MTIC leadership with reporting, forecasting, cost optimization, and process improvement.
This position is based in Hyderabad and requires on-site work four days a week while operating on US Pacific Time.
## Key Responsibilities
– Track portfolio-level headcount across towers and align reporting with budgets and workforce plans.
– Monitor productivity, efficiency, utilization, capacity, throughput, and resource allocation.
– Build standardized dashboards and prepare ad hoc financial reporting for leadership.
– Report performance against financial plans and forecasts, and support delivery of forecasted results.
– Partner with functional leaders on cost optimization, efficiency initiatives, budgeting, and procurement improvements.
– Support operational governance, compliance with corporate standards, and continuous improvement in business office processes.
– Serve as the main business office operations contact for MTIC leadership.
– Enable a showback/chargeback model for IT finances.
– Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams on status, risks, and issues.
– Proactively resolve financial, technical, and operational challenges.
– Manage stakeholder communication and provide regular updates.
– Act as a financial subject matter expert on GTO policies for the Hyderabad office.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a technical discipline.
– Minimum 10 years of experience in financial analysis with large budgets, forecasts, plans, comments, and accruals, or a similar role.
– Experience with IT finances in a Global Capability Center.
– Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
– Advanced PowerPoint skills.
– Strong dashboarding skills with Power BI or Tableau.
– Strong understanding of technology financial rules in a global CPG firm.
– Proven ability to lead and inspire technical teams with financial information.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and across time zones.
## Preferred Skills
– Master’s degree.
– Experience in a global organization with distributed teams.
– Technology Business Management (TBM) or Apptio experience.
– CPA or MBA.
– Knowledge of technology financials in a global, legacy company.
