# Asset and Cost Manager

## About the Role
The Asset and Cost Manager is responsible for overseeing the full circle Network Opex lifecycle. This includes budgeting, vendor bill validation, asset tracking, asset reconciliation, and management reporting.
The role exists to ensure accurate cost control across network operations and to provide visibility into spending versus budget. It works closely with technology and finance stakeholders, as well as central technology teams, to consolidate Opex requirements and review reduction plans.
A further part of the role is tracking network assets across RAN, TX, Core, and passive equipment, while maintaining monthly MIS outputs for leadership review and issue closure.
## Key Responsibilities
– Validate rent and energy bills from infrastructure providers.
– Validate lease line, POI, and fibre bills across vendors.
– Manage vehicle costs, circle AMC charges, routine O&M bills, and other operational expenses.
– Own end-to-end circle Network Opex and prepare monthly MIS reports.
– Coordinate Network Opex budgeting with stakeholders and consolidate circle requirements.
– Review Opex reduction plans with central technology and circle finance teams.
– Identify and report deviations from budgeted Opex.
– Prepare quarterly, half-yearly, and annual network cost comparisons and analysis.
– Track assets for RAN, TX, Core, and passive equipment, including tools used for RAN and transport operations.
– Review monthly asset and circulation MIS with technology and finance stakeholders and close deviations.
## Required Skills
– 10+ years of network experience.
– 4–5 years of experience handling Network Opex and network budget activities.
– Telecom engineering background with sound knowledge of telecom equipment and Opex budgeting.
– Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
– Ability to connect technical activities with their financial impact.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
## Preferred Skills
– Diploma, MBA, or equivalent qualification in Finance.
## Cloud Platforms & Technologies
– **Telecom / Network Equipment:** RAN, TX, Core, passive equipment.
– **Network Operations Tools:** Tools used for RAN and transport operations.
– **Productivity Software:** Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
## FinOps Responsibilities
– Track and manage complete circle Network Opex.
– Validate vendor bills across rent, energy, lease line, POI, fibre, vehicle, AMC, O&M, and other operational costs.
– Support Network Opex budgeting and consolidate requirements within the circle.
– Review Opex reduction plans with technology and finance stakeholders.
– Monitor spend against budget and flag deviations.
– Prepare quarterly, half-yearly, and annual cost comparisons and analysis.
– Produce monthly MIS for management reporting.
– Track assets and support reconciliation through MIS review with relevant stakeholders.
