## About the Role
TradingHub is hiring a FinOps Lead to build and embed cloud financial management as its cloud platform and services continue to scale. The purpose of the role is to improve cost transparency, operational efficiency and long-term scalability while ensuring technology investment delivers clear value.
This position sits at the intersection of Engineering, Finance and Product. It is responsible for strengthening visibility, accountability and better decision-making around cloud consumption so the business can grow with financial discipline.
## Key Responsibilities
– Own cloud cost management and optimisation across the organisation’s cloud environment.
– Track cloud usage, identify waste and implement improvements in efficiency.
– Define and maintain tagging standards, cost allocation approaches and showback/chargeback reporting.
– Manage cloud commercial commitments, including Reserved Instances, Savings Plans and provider discount programmes.
– Partner with Engineering and Finance on forecasting, investment evaluation and FinOps adoption.
– Put governance, tooling and reporting in place to support cost-aware decisions.
## Required Skills
– Experience managing cloud spend in large-scale public cloud environments.
– Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud-native infrastructure principles.
– Understanding of cloud billing models, cost optimisation methods and commitment-based discount programmes.
– Experience using cloud cost management and FinOps tools.
– Working knowledge of tagging, cost allocation and showback/chargeback frameworks.
– Ability to analyse cloud usage and financial data to identify optimisation opportunities.
– Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
