## About the Role
Blue Yonder’s FinOps team is looking for an analyst to support cloud financial management and software asset management across the organization. The role focuses on turning Azure usage, margin, and license data into clear financial insight that supports better decision-making.
You will help improve visibility into cloud spend, forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization opportunities. The position also supports software contract management, renewal planning, and cross-functional coordination with Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and IT.
## Key Responsibilities
– Analyze Azure cloud spend, allocation, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
– Build and maintain automated reports and dashboards covering cost, margin, and utilization metrics.
– Use AI and machine learning methods to improve anomaly detection, forecast cloud spend, and identify optimization opportunities at scale.
– Analyze cognitive product margins and support gross margin improvement with data-driven recommendations.
– Maintain the software asset inventory, including licenses, entitlements, and consumption.
– Manage the third-party software renewal calendar and coordinate timely, cost-effective renewals.
– Identify and prototype AI-powered automation for FinOps and software asset management workflows, including contract analysis, license reconciliation, and spend alerting.
– Partner with Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and IT to support cloud optimization and software contract management.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
– 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, cloud cost management, software asset management, or a related role.
– Proficiency in SQL and Excel.
– Strong understanding of software licensing models, including SaaS, subscription, consumption-based, and perpetual structures.
– Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
– Ability to present findings clearly to finance and non-finance audiences.
## Preferred Skills
– Python experience.
– Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools, especially for financial analysis, anomaly detection, or automation workflows.
– Hands-on experience with Azure cost management tools, Databricks, or Power BI.
– Experience in enterprise SaaS, cloud technology, or the supply chain industry.
