Enable self-service cost insights for engineering and business teams
Governance & Best Practices
Establish and enforce cloud cost governance frameworks, tagging standards, and policies
Embed FinOps principles into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows
Drive adoption of cost optimization best practices across teams
Collaboration & Enablement
Partner with Finance to align cloud usage with budgets and forecasts
Work with Engineering teams to balance cost, performance, and scalability
Educate teams on AWS cost management and FinOps principles
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
3–5+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud engineering, or cloud cost optimization
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, pricing models, and billing architecture
Experience with cost tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Harness CCM, Apptio, CloudCheckr or similar
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, or Excel
Experience building data pipelines, dashboards, and financial models
Strong understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Preferred Qualifications
Background in software engineering or platform engineering
Experience with AWS-native services (e.g., Cost & Usage Reports, QuickSight)
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Experience implementing automated governance and policy enforcement
FinOps certifications (e.g., FinOps Practitioner)
