# Technical Expert (Production Support / Infrastructure Project Management)

## About the Role
This role sits within an international production support team and combines technical leadership with project coordination for infrastructure and production initiatives supporting critical business applications. The position exists to help deliver infrastructure projects successfully while maintaining production stability.
You will support the organization’s cloud transformation journey and help ensure that technical solutions are resilient, secure, and scalable. The work spans the full project lifecycle, from planning through implementation and transition into production.
You will collaborate with business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, application support teams, project managers, DevOps, Cloud, FinOps, and production teams in a highly regulated enterprise environment.
## Key Responsibilities
– Lead infrastructure and production-related IT projects from planning through production transition.
– Coordinate technical teams across infrastructure, middleware, storage, networking, servers, and application support.
– Act as the main technical contact throughout the project lifecycle.
– Support cloud adoption initiatives and cloud-based architecture delivery.
– Ensure resilience, security, lifecycle management, and obsolescence remediation are included in project delivery.
– Coordinate decommissioning work and infrastructure optimization initiatives.
– Define and track governance, reporting, milestones, risks, and budgets.
– Organize and participate in steering committees, monitoring committees, and business validation meetings.
– Define production support SLAs and KPIs.
– Ensure operational readiness and knowledge transfer to RUN and Application Support teams.
– Identify technical improvements, automation opportunities, and operational optimizations.
– Support production activities during maintenance windows, including occasional after-hours or weekend interventions.
– Promote DevOps, CI/CD, Agile, and cloud-native engineering practices.
## Required Skills
– 15+ years of experience in Infrastructure Project Management, Production Support, or Technical Engineering.
– Experience in complex enterprise IT environments.
– Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies and production environments.
– Linux administration experience.
– Knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
– Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
– Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
– Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, and/or Azure Pipelines.
– Experience with Docker.
– Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace.
– Understanding of infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible.
– Knowledge of Oracle environments.
– Familiarity with WebSphere, Autosys, and CFT File Transfer.
– Experience defining governance, risk management, budgeting, and reporting.
– Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
– Understanding of IT governance and production support processes.
– Fluent English, written and spoken.
## Preferred Skills
– Cloud certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals.
– Equivalent hands-on experience in cloud projects.
