# Sr Financial Analyst – Cloud
## About the Role
The Sr Financial Analyst – Cloud supports planning, forecasting, reporting, and accounting for cloud costs within Technology Finance & Strategy. The role works closely with the Cloud FinOps team and partners across IT, Business, Product, and Finance to deliver timely financial insight that supports cloud investment decisions across the enterprise.
This is a highly analytical position focused on complex datasets, scalable models, and open-ended problem solving. It also supports month-end close and helps connect detailed cost activity to the broader business story behind cloud spend.
## Key Responsibilities
– Lead annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly financial reporting for cloud costs.
– Build financial models, perform variance analysis, and explain key trends and risks to senior leadership.
– Support month-end close activities related to cloud cost accounting.
– Prepare and present financial analysis in both visual and verbal formats for business leaders.
– Translate analysis into actionable recommendations based on business operations and financial impact.
– Partner with business leaders and finance/accounting stakeholders, including VP-level partners, to align financial inputs and outputs.
– Perform project-based analysis for investment initiatives, capital allocation, and scenario planning.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in a related field.
– At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
## Preferred Skills
– 3+ years of experience in Finance, Financial Analytics, Technology Finance, FinOps, or a similar role.
– Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field.
– Familiarity with cloud billing and usage-based cost models.
– Experience with GCP and FinOps.
– Strong SQL skills and experience with complex data pipelines.
– Experience with Google BigQuery.
– Advanced Excel skills and experience building complex financial models.
– Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools, with strong attention to data accuracy and quality control.
– Experience supporting month-end close, including accruals, reclasses, or chargebacks.
– Ability to work through ambiguous problems and turn large datasets into clear recommendations.
– Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex data visually across all levels.
