## About the Role

This senior product leadership role is based in India and owns strategy, roadmap, and execution for key AI and data platform capabilities within Teradata. The position operates with a high degree of autonomy and serves as the primary product voice in-region, working closely with global product and engineering leadership.

The scope spans Fabric, AI & Data Governance, and Capacity & Cost Intelligence. The role is responsible for turning customer and market insight into scalable platform capabilities, defining clear product requirements and success measures, and driving delivery that improves adoption, platform usage, and customer trust.

It also has a strong leadership component, including mentoring product managers across India and helping raise the quality and consistency of product execution. The role collaborates across India and the US with Engineering, Architecture, Go-to-Market, Pricing, Customer Success, and a growing community of product managers.

## Key Responsibilities

– Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for Fabric, AI & Data Governance, and Capacity & Cost Intelligence.
– Lead customer and market discovery to identify high-value problems and translate them into platform capabilities.
– Define product requirements, user stories, and success metrics for engineering teams.
– Align priorities and execution across Engineering, Architecture, Go-to-Market, and Customer Success.
– Represent India as the senior product lead within a global, distributed organization.
– Coach and mentor product managers across the India team.
– Work with US-based leadership to shape local product standards and execution practices.

## Required Skills

– 12+ years of product management experience.
– Significant exposure to enterprise data platforms, cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML tooling.
– Proven ownership of complex product portfolios from strategy through delivery and iteration.
– Strong technical depth in modern data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, streaming, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
– Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment in global, matrixed organizations.
– Experience mentoring or coaching product managers and improving team capability.
– Expertise in data governance, FinOps, or platform instrumentation and analytics.
– Familiarity with Collibra, Alation, Apache Atlas, or cloud cost management frameworks.
– Knowledge of open data formats such as Iceberg, Delta, and Hudi.
– Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS/PaaS business models, including consumption-based pricing.
– Exposure to AI/ML platform components such as MLOps, feature stores, or LLM infrastructure.
– Experience working within large-scale engineering centers in India.
– Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
