# Strategic FinOps Manager (m/f/d)
**Location:** Karlsruhe, Münster, or Munich (Aschheim)
**Work model:** Full-time or part-time, from 30 hours per week
## About the Role
This role sits within the Software Development and Governance service area in the Demand, Value and FinOps Management tribe. From 2026, FinOps will be established as a central service to create technical and financial transparency across public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises environments.
You will help build this central FinOps service within the Atruvia Trusted Tech Foundation (ATTF) and define the governance framework for the wider portfolio. The focus is on transparency, decision support, and clear guardrails rather than traditional budget control.
You will act as the main contact for FinOps topics related to portfolio direction and prioritization. In close cooperation with service areas, Finance and Controlling, and architecture and operations teams, you will help integrate cost, utilization, efficiency, and business value into demand and value structures.
## Key Responsibilities
– Build and further develop the central FinOps service within ATTF
– Define the FinOps governance framework, including roles, processes, standards, and KPIs
– Advise business and service areas on cost, economic viability, and value contribution for new demands and strategic initiatives
– Develop and improve measurement methods across ATTF products and services
– Ensure consistent tracking and comparison of resource consumption and costs across on-premises, private cloud, and hyperscaler environments
– Create standardized reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and decision-makers
– Support the integration of FinOps parameters into demand and value management structures
– Work closely with Finance, Controlling, architecture, and operations teams to enable data-based portfolio steering
## Required Skills
– Degree in computer science, business informatics, IT architecture, or IT systems development, or a comparable qualification
– More than 6 years of relevant professional experience
– Experience in FinOps, cloud or hybrid-cloud management, or IT financial steering in complex technical environments
– Understanding of FinOps as a way to manage value contribution and economic efficiency in hybrid and multi-cloud landscapes, including on-premises environments
– Confident use of Excel, SQL, or Power BI
– Experience analyzing large data sets from multiple sources
– Very strong German skills at C1 level or above
– Good English skills at B2 level
– Strong analytical skills
– Structured, data-driven working style
– Strong communication skills and the ability to handle conflict
– Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and cross-unit environments

## FinOps Responsibilities
