## About the Role
This role is responsible for the commercial management of cloud and XaaS services, with a focus on SaaS and PaaS solutions on Microsoft Azure and AWS. The position exists to further develop the FinOps framework and improve the transparency and economic efficiency of cloud usage.
A key part of the role is working across IT, procurement, controlling, and business teams to shape sustainable sourcing, usage, and governance models for cloud services. The role also supports management decision-making by preparing analyses, risk assessments, and reporting on costs, utilization, and value.
## Key Responsibilities
– Manage the commercial oversight of cloud and XaaS services.
– Plan, monitor, and optimize cloud costs, budgets, and commitments.
– Analyse cloud spend and usage data, identify cost drivers, and define efficiency measures such as rightsizing, reservations, and license or pricing model optimization.
– Develop sustainable procurement, usage, and control strategies with IT, procurement, controlling, and business stakeholders.
– Further develop governance, KPI, and reporting structures for cloud services.
– Automate analyses and processes using Power BI, Power Automate, hyperscaler tools, and AI-supported solutions.
– Support cloud contract design, assess cost and compliance risks, and prepare decision materials for management.
## Required Skills
– Degree in business informatics, economics, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification; alternatively, commercial or technical training with experience in IT, cloud, or finance.
– Interest in FinOps, cloud cost management, and commercial topics.
– Basic understanding of cloud and XaaS models, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
– Strong analytical thinking and high affinity for numbers, data, and digital tools.
– Interest in regulatory requirements in the financial or insurance sector.
– Strong communication skills, initiative, and willingness to work across functions.

– Experience with reporting, analysis, or automation solutions.
– Knowledge of IT controlling, IT purchasing, licensing, provider management, or contract management.
