## About the Role
This role sits at the intersection of business controlling, cloud economics, and performance management. You will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams across Sales, Product, and Engineering to turn complex data into clear actions.
The position is focused on KPI steering, cloud cost management, reporting, and planning. A key part of the role is helping ensure healthy gross margins through efficient scaling and strong financial control.
You will also build the reporting and forecasting structures needed to support timely business decisions in a fast-changing environment.
## Key Responsibilities
– Act as a sparring partner to top management and operational teams, including Sales, Product, and Engineering.
– Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
– Manage and optimize key performance indicators.
– Analyze infrastructure costs and support gross margin health through efficient cloud scaling.
– Build automated reporting structures and dashboards to enable real-time business steering.
– Own the budgeting process.
– Prepare rolling forecasts and scenario analyses to assess risk.
## Required Skills
– Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
– A focus on controlling is preferred in the academic background.
– At least 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in controlling.
– Strong understanding of cloud business models and their accounting and management logic.
– Confident use of ERP systems, especially SAP S/4HANA.
– Experience with modern BI tools.
– Very strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
– Entrepreneurial mindset.
– Strong attention to data integrity.
– Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment.
– Fluent German and English.
## Preferred Skills
– Professional experience in a SaaS, cloud, or tech environment.
– Advanced SQL skills.
