## About the Role

The Cloud FinOps Lead is responsible for financial accountability, cost optimization, and value realization across a multi-cloud environment spanning AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role sits within ETS, Epsilon’s infrastructure-focused business unit, and supports revenue-generating platforms and enterprise deployments.

This is a hands-on leadership position that partners with Engineering, Infrastructure, Finance, and Procurement to make cloud spend transparent, controlled, and aligned to business outcomes. The role has direct influence on forecasting, governance, optimization, and reporting for both technical and executive stakeholders.

## Key Responsibilities

– Lead and develop the Cloud FinOps function across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
– Own cloud budgeting, forecasting, and spend governance.
– Validate billing accuracy, investigate anomalies, and manage credits and commitments.
– Drive cloud cost optimization through rightsizing, reservations, Savings Plans, CUDs, and spot usage.
– Deliver weekly and monthly executive reporting with clear, actionable insights.
– Work with cloud vendors on contracts, SOW approvals, and optimization opportunities.
– Establish cost allocation, tagging/labeling standards, and chargeback/showback models.
– Educate engineering and product teams on cost-aware design and FinOps practices.
– Support cloud migration and modernization efforts with financial guardrails.
– Track outcomes against savings, forecast accuracy, commitment utilization, waste reduction, billing accuracy, tagging compliance, reporting timeliness, and stakeholder satisfaction.

## Required Skills

– Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in cloud financial management.
– 5+ years of cloud experience with strong exposure to AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
– Strong understanding of compute, storage, networking, and cloud pricing models.
– Hands-on experience with FinOps tools such as CloudHealth, Cloudability, Apptio, or similar.
– Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and advanced Excel skills.
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
– Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
– Self-starter with a continuous learning mindset.
– Commitment to ongoing cloud and FinOps training.

## FinOps Responsibilities

– Manage cloud financial accountability across a multi-cloud environment.
– Build forecasting, budgeting, and spend governance processes.
– Improve cloud cost visibility through allocation, tagging, and labeling standards.
– Run billing validation, anomaly detection, and credit/commitment management.
– Lead optimization efforts and promote cost-efficient usage patterns.
– Provide executive-level financial reporting on cloud spend and performance.
– Coordinate with vendors on contract and optimization-related actions.
– Support cloud modernization and migration programs with financial controls.
– Measure and improve savings, forecast accuracy, commitment utilization, waste reduction, billing accuracy, compliance, and reporting delivery.
