About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Business Finance Analyst to support financial planning, business performance tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. The role requires strong financial acumen, data analysis capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business insights and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, Procurement, and business leaders to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Drive budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, variance analysis, and month-end close activities for Technology Infrastructure cost centres.
Analyse business and infrastructure performance, including cloud, hosting, networking, security, SaaS, and enterprise technology spend, to identify risks, opportunities, and cost optimization initiatives.
Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to evaluate technology investments, infrastructure scaling, vendor contracts, and strategic initiatives.
Monitor key financial and operational metrics, including utilization, cost allocation, unit economics, ROI, and cloud consumption, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
Support cloud financial management and FinOps initiatives by driving cost governance, efficiency improvements, utilization optimization, and spend transparency across cloud environments.
Collaborate with Procurement and Vendor Management teams on contract evaluations, renewals, software licensing reviews, commercial negotiations, and vendor spend optimization.
Prepare executive dashboards, management reports, and business review materials, leveraging financial and operational data to generate meaningful insights.
Drive reporting automation, process improvements, and analytics initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy, operational efficiency, and decision support capabilities.
Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting, controls, governance processes, and infrastructure-related financial documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
3–6 years of experience in Business Finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance, Consulting, or related analytical roles.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
Understanding of technology infrastructure concepts, including:
Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Data centers and hosting environments
SaaS and software licensing models
Networking and security infrastructure
Infrastructure capacity and utilization management
Experience with planning/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
Familiarity with SQL or data analytics tools.
Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
