## About the Role

This role is focused on end-to-end ownership of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) billing investigations and cost analysis. It is intended for someone who can connect technical cloud usage to financial outcomes and support accurate billing reviews.

The work centers on invoice analysis, usage reporting, credits, adjustments, and the interpretation of GCP pricing models. It also requires strong handling of billing tools, BigQuery billing exports, IAM, project hierarchy, and governance-related details.

## Key Responsibilities

– Own GCP billing and cost investigations from start to finish.
– Analyze invoices, usage reports, credits, and billing adjustments.
– Review core GCP services from a billing perspective.
– Interpret GCP pricing models, including usage-based pricing, CUDs, SUDs, and regional pricing.
– Map technical usage to financial impact.
– Use billing tools and cost management dashboards to support investigations.
– Query and analyze BigQuery billing exports using SQL.
– Work with IAM, project hierarchy, and governance-related billing structures.
– Maintain strong documentation and audit-ready records.

## Required Skills

– Total IT experience of 4–8 years.
– Ideally, at least 3 years of hands-on Linux infrastructure experience.
– End-to-end ownership of GCP billing and cost investigations.
– Strong understanding of core GCP services from a billing perspective.
– Strong knowledge of GCP pricing models.
– Ability to correlate technical usage with financial outcomes.
– Experience analyzing invoices, usage reports, credits, and adjustments.
– Proficiency with billing tools and cost management dashboards.
– SQL skills for BigQuery billing exports.
– Clear understanding of IAM, project hierarchy, and governance.
– Strong documentation and audit discipline.
– Bachelor’s degree in IT with finance/economics understanding.
– Google Cloud Digital Leader certification.
– Associate Cloud Engineer certification.
– 1–2 years of experience in Cloud Support, Billing Ops, FinOps, or Financial Analysis.
– CEFR B2 communication proficiency.

## Preferred Skills

– Hands-on experience with FinOps tooling.
– GCP Billing Professional Certification, if applicable.
