– FinOps Vendor Management Leader
About your new role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team in the role of FinOps Vendor Management Leader. As businesses increasingly leverage cloud services for their operations, optimizing and managing the financial aspects of cloud usage becomes crucial. The FinOps Vendor Management Leader will play a key role in ensuring cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability across City’s cloud infrastructure.

We’re looking for people who have:
Bachelor’s degree in business management or information technology (or relevant and equivalent experience)
Proven experience in cloud financial management, preferably with major cloud service providers (Azure, AWS).
Prior experience in, or considerable exposure to, ICT Vendor Management activities in a multi-vendor environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills organised with an eye for detail.
Familiarity with cloud cost optimisation tools and methodologies.
Knowledge of cloud computing principles and architectures.
Relevant Cloud certifications within Azure and/or AWS, or FinOps Certified Practitioner are desirable.
Excellent communication skills (both verbally and in written form) to create and maintain great relationships, who looks outside the square to broker efficient, and value-based outcomes.
An ability to work well in a team, to set priorities and deliver outcomes.
An active listener who uses sound judgement, analytical and critical thinking, research and evaluation skills to quantify impacts and propose solutions.
Knowledge or prior experience supporting Agile teams to deliver outcomes.
