# FinOps Specialist
## About the Role
This position supports strategic cloud-based products as they develop their FinOps capabilities. The focus is on improving cloud financial management, increasing cost visibility, and reinforcing accountability across multidisciplinary teams.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Architecture, and Finance stakeholders to help ensure cloud usage remains efficient while service quality and business value are maintained.
## Key Responsibilities
– Implement FinOps strategies, governance policies, and best practices for cloud cost management.
– Partner with Product, Finance, and Operations teams on budgeting, forecasting, chargeback/showback, and financial planning.
– Monitor, analyse, and optimise cloud spend and resource utilisation across cloud platforms.
– Identify savings opportunities and recommend actions that support operational efficiency and service quality.
– Build reports, dashboards, and insights on cloud consumption, financial trends, and optimisation initiatives.
## Required Skills
– Experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud-based financial analysis.
– Background in cloud operations and financial management practices.
– Knowledge of cloud architectures, cloud billing models, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimisation methods.
– Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
## FinOps Responsibilities
– Drive cloud cost governance and optimisation practices.
– Support budgeting, forecasting, chargeback/showback, and financial planning.
– Track cloud consumption, spending patterns, and resource utilisation.
– Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
– Produce reporting and dashboards on cloud financial trends and optimisation work.
