# About the Role
Navina is hiring a FinOps Lead for its Infrastructure group to own techno-financial operations across cloud, infrastructure, AI, data, and third-party engineering services. The role exists to make spend transparent, predictable, optimized, and aligned with business value.
You will work closely with Engineering, DevOps, AI Infrastructure, Product, and Finance. The focus is on building visibility into costs, improving forecast accuracy, defining cost governance practices, and supporting engineering teams in making cost-aware decisions without slowing delivery.
# Key Responsibilities
– Build and own the FinOps practice for cloud, infrastructure, AI, data, and third-party engineering services
– Improve visibility into cloud and infrastructure spending
– Drive cost optimization initiatives and measure their impact
– Strengthen forecasting accuracy and recurring cost review processes
– Define and support cost governance practices
– Help engineering teams evaluate the cost, performance, reliability, and business impact of technical decisions
– Create dashboards, reports, and COGS forecasts for engineering and leadership
– Analyze large datasets to identify cost drivers and produce clear recommendations
– Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align spend with business needs
# Required Skills
– 4+ years of experience in FinOps, Cloud Cost Management, Infrastructure Operations, DevOps, or a similar role
– 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably backend or data
– Hands-on experience managing and optimizing cloud spend in AWS or other major cloud providers
– Strong understanding of cloud billing, tagging, cost allocation, budgets, alerts, reservations, savings plans, and usage-based cost models
– Ability to translate cost insights into practical technical engineering solutions
– Ability to assess the effort and impact of cost optimization work on performance, reliability, and business outcomes
– Experience building dashboards, reports, COGS forecasts, and recurring cost review processes
– Ability to analyze large datasets and turn findings into actionable recommendations
– Strong collaboration skills across Engineering, Finance, Product, and leadership
– Ability to lead cost optimization work from discovery through execution
– Strong ownership, independence, and attention to detail
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical and financial tradeoffs clearly
– Team-oriented mindset

– B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering
– Experience in a SaaS company with production-scale cloud infrastructure
– Experience with Datadog and Snowflake
– Experience with AI/ML infrastructure costs, data pipelines, or large-scale compute environments
– Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare, fintech, or enterprise SaaS
