## About the Role
Teradata is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Cloud FP&A team in Mexico. The role supports financial insight, process accuracy, and monthly operational execution across infrastructure cost analysis, cloud allocations, reconciliations, and reporting.
This position works closely with Corporate FP&A, regional finance teams, Cloud Operations, Engineering, and systems/IT partners. The main focus is to maintain accurate financial models and reporting, support planning cycles, and help ensure the integrity of cloud and infrastructure cost data.
The role also contributes to chargeback validation, journal entries, variance analysis, and executive reporting. It requires someone who can manage multiple priorities, work across functions, and identify opportunities to improve processes and automation.
## Key Responsibilities
– Perform infrastructure cost allocation, absorption analysis, and chargeback validation.
– Lead monthly and quarterly finance activities, including PCM and EPB rule execution and reporting.
– Prepare Sites and Nodes files and maintain cost templates.
– Reconcile general ledger data against infrastructure cost accounts.
– Review and upload adjustments, deferrals, and true-ups.
– Maintain and refine the chargeback model, including credits, debits, and amortizations.
– Reconcile billing systems with CloudZero reports and investigate variances.
– Support headcount actuals versus forecast reviews with managers and regional leads.
– Prepare and maintain reporting such as Cloud P&L, Demo/POC, and Shared Cost allocations.
– Execute and validate AGIS and US journal entries through PCM rule execution.
– Maintain data sources, including Flexera, customer mapping, and catalog updates.
– Support annual planning and forecast cycles with infrastructure cost projections.
– Assist with cloud cost presentations and executive reporting.
– Identify and support automation and process improvement opportunities.
– Deliver ad hoc analysis and explain variances, logic changes, and strategic implications in meetings.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
– 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance or financial planning.
– Strong understanding of cost allocations, cloud infrastructure financial models, and general ledger processes.
– Experience with financial systems such as EPB, PCM, Oracle, Smart View, or similar tools.
– Advanced Excel skills, including large data sets and pivot tables.
– Experience with month-end and quarter-end close processes, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
– Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
– Fluency in English, written and spoken.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– High attention to detail and accountability for accuracy.
– Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
