– Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing platform and infrastructure engineering team.
– Set technical standards, govern platform decisions, and serve as the senior technical authority.
– Partner with Technology, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders to align platform capabilities with organisational needs.
– Oversee on-premises hosting environments and data centre operations.

– Own enterprise Windows Server and Linux environments, including RHEL and Ubuntu, or equivalent.
– Enforce hardening, patching, and configuration management standards.
– Promote automation and infrastructure-as-code for provisioning and configuration management.
– Lead cloud operations across AWS and Azure, with a focus on security, compliance, and cost optimisation.
– Support cloud adoption, migration initiatives, cloud-native service integration, and hybrid cloud design.
– Establish cloud governance, tagging policies, cost controls, and identity and access management standards.
– Track cloud service evolution and assess new services for platform suitability.
– Define and embed observability standards across logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
– Lead SRE practices, including SLOs, SLAs, error budgets, reliability reviews, and post-incident processes.
– Improve monitoring, capacity management, performance engineering, and chaos engineering practices.
– Maintain risk and control frameworks across all platform domains.
– Work with Internal Audit, Risk, and Compliance to evidence controls and resolve findings.
– Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities are designed, tested, and maintained.
– Manage third-party and vendor risk, including contract performance and SLA oversight.
