# Data Analyst

## About the Role
Harrier Information Systems is hiring a Data Analyst for a hybrid/remote position in Mumbai or Nagpur. The role is open to candidates with 4 to 8 years of experience and follows a fixed shift from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM EST. Salary is negotiable.

This position is focused on improving financial operations through analytics, automation, and AI-enabled workflows. You will work with finance, engineering, and business stakeholders to analyze financial and operational data, strengthen data governance, and support better decision-making and efficiency.

## Key Responsibilities
– Analyze large financial and operational datasets to identify actionable insights.
– Build and maintain scalable data models, dashboards, and reports.
– Develop and optimize data pipelines using SQL and Python.
– Use AI/ML tools and automation to improve financial analysis and operational efficiency.
– Design exception rules and validation logic for financial processes.
– Work with finance stakeholders to understand accounting workflows and business requirements.
– Integrate and analyze data from ERP and accounting systems.
– Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across financial datasets.
– Support FinOps initiatives in collaboration with engineering, finance, and business teams.

## Required Skills
– 4–6 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role.
– Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
– Experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
– Hands-on experience with Databricks.
– Experience using AI-powered analytics tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or similar.
– Strong understanding of finance, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
– Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle Financials, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
– Experience building exception rules, validation logic, and reconciliation processes.
– Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
– Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

## FinOps Responsibilities
– Support FinOps initiatives with finance, engineering, and business stakeholders.
– Use analytics, automation, and AI to improve financial operations.
– Improve data accuracy, governance, and consistency across financial datasets.
– Build validation and exception logic for financial workflows.
– Provide insights that support financial and operational decision-making.
